Boston Cream Pie is a very well known food around the country and the world. This is a piece of food that is delicious as-well as a piece of history. I want to use two very different fonts, one being very simple and modern and another a little more blocky that I can play around with so I can get my bold point across. The history of the California Signature Duo font is it is a mixture of modern signature and sans font duo combinations. It was initially created for advertising and creative headers which personally reminds me of the Boston College font which makes it perfect because it is already in peoples head that it is Boston. The other font I wanted to use is a clean font for the body paragraph to giver the reader a Newbury Street vibe and make it clean and easy to read. This font is called Cartica and is very elegant in the way it is shown and is very curvy and is part of the Sans Serif font family. These two fonts blend very well with each other because they are opposites however still incorporate the heart of Boston.
https://befonts.com/california-signature-font-duo.html https://demofont.com/cartica-font/ I Like the first one the most because Times New Roman is a font I use daily for work and it is cool to see it put into a fun and playful way. I also like the way the font is shaped and the overall appearance of it. It has a modern, important work tone which makes it appealing to different audiences.
I plan to effectively use color in my poster as a way to draw in the viewer to watch and see what I am doing. The reasoning when young adults think about reading a poster is if it looks cool at a quick glance or not. The colors of the shoes will draw in the reader to make them want to look at the rest of the poster. Again, who does not like Nike though. Regardless the color palate will be subtle to them because they will just think it is cool but from a designers perspective it will be genius because it will draw anyone who sees the colors through their eye and their brain will be intrigued and went to see what it says.
